Restaurant Review: The Greenbrier in Gatlinburg, Tennessee

THE RESTAURANT:

What a lovely restaurant located right off the parkway in downtown Gatlinburg, TN. This place is the perfect spot for date night as it’s on the more fancier side of things. The restaurant has elevated rustic decor, candlelit tables, and an extensive bourbon & whiskey list.

WHAT WE ORDERED:

We ordered a seasonal cocktail to start & it was super tasty! Who doesn’t love a spicy margarita with a twist? The Hot Honey Peach Margarita included peach preserves, hot honey sour mix, and a dark chili sugar rim.

For our starter we chose the French Onion Meatballs. The meatballs were served in a French onion broth with grilled sourdough. Super yummy!

I ordered the Vegetarian Gnocchi. I loved the flavors of this dish! The gnocchi was served with Brussel sprouts, mushrooms, and a brown butter sage & cauliflower cream sauce.

My husband chose the Duet of Beef. This dish included a braised short rib, and twin filet medallions served with a bordelaise sauce. We both really enjoyed this dish!

We did order the Truffle Mac & Cheese and we both agreed that it wasn’t our favorite. It was a little too bland and needed more flavor balancing with the truffle.

OVERALL RATING:

I’d say this is a must go if you are looking for an elevated dinner in the Smoky Mountains! We had such a great experience and really enjoyed our meal. The service was also top notch. If you’re in Gatlinburg definitely check out The Greenbrier.

Hi, I’m anna!

In 2020 my husband and I decided we didn’t want to wait until retirement age to travel. We’ve started to slowly travel around the world while navigating our adventures around a corporate job. We’ve gained quite the “travel reputation” and our family & friends are always asking where we’re off to next!
