The Appalachian

The Appalachian is truly a gem tucked into Historic Downtown Sevierville, just outside the Smoky Mountains. The restaurant is led by Executive Chef David Rule, who cooked at places like Blackberry Farm before landing here, and the menu changes daily, printed fresh each day based on what local farms bring in. So you leave full and feeling good knowing you supported local. We indulged in fried chicken skins, roasted bone marrow, catfish over summer succotash, and a seriously good sangria. But what really made this place special was the people running it, like our waiter whose day job is teaching band to middle and high schoolers. Truly the backbone of this community.
